El plan de limpieza se mantendrá hasta fin de mes
El operativo de limpieza recorre 2.7 kilómetros diarios
Jacquenie Sanz Caraballo/Prensa Gobernación.- Más de 119 toneladas de basura han sido recolectadas en el operativo de limpieza ejecutado por la gobernadora de Monagas Yelitza Santaella, a través del programa Revolucionando Maturín, que se encuentra desplegado en la ciudad desde el pasado dos de febrero.
Lauribet Navas coordinadora del programa, explicó que siguiendo los lineamientos de la jefa de gobierno de mantener limpia la ciudad, iniciaron las labores de limpieza junto a 110 personas divididas en un turno diurno y uno nocturno, con el fin de preservar el ornato y la imagen deseada de la ciudad.
“Durante los días de carnaval intensificamos las labores de limpieza, pues sabemos que los desfiles y los eventos generan mucha acumulación de desechos por lo que treinta minutos después de la última carroza nuestras cuadrillas se despliegan para efectuar las labores de limpieza”.
Navas destacó que el turno nocturno de limpieza se mantiene hasta las 2 de la madrugada cada día con el propósito de que los maturinenses amanezcan cada mañana con una ciudad en orden.
La coordinadora del programa de limpieza explicó que el equipo de trabajo se divide en tres tramos que van desde la Plaza Piar hasta la Gobernación, otro desde el palacio de gobierno hasta la Escuela Vicente Salias y el tercero de la Vicente Salias hasta El Guacharín.
“Activamos adicionalmente a un equipo que se encarga de la limpieza en el área de eventos, dispuesta en El Guacharín, para que de esta manera toda la ruta establecida durante los carnavales de Maturín quedara sin desechos”.

Navas explicó que desde ya se encuentran estableciendo las estrategias para las jornadas de limpieza que ejecutarán los días de la semana mayor, donde atenderán las iglesias y los balnearios, así como los lugares más visitados durante esos días de asueto.
